Jacob Nathan is a filmmaker and photographer based in Dutchess County, New York, where he is pursuing his degree in film production and Spanish at Bard College. His photography trends toward a documentary focus as he is intrigued by the countless small moments that happen between people every moment. His body of work includes street portraits, landscapes, concert photography, studio portraits, and documentary and travel photography. His photography centers around the idea that the photographer is a "time thief" using their camera to "steal" intimate moments.
When he's not behind the camera or editing at his computer, Jacob can be found enjoying the outdoors. He loves to hike, ski, and cycle. He can also be found playing video games or reading with his cat. Jacob also loves tattoos, music, and movies and has been known to ramble about any of the above!
